Forest Hills was Lester George's first International golf course. George was hired by the Speaker of the General Assembly of Hiroshima Prefecture
to finish a struggling project and put an American touch on it, and he fashioned a course reminiscent of many American Classic golf courses. Celebrated as the first municipal golf course in Hiroshima prefecture, Forest Hills -- located at the International Airport -- became a profitable venture largely due to Lester's involvement.
